Nissan Philippines has launched an all-electric version of its Primera sedan and a plug-in hybrid version of its Navara pickup. Both models are part of a promotional tour that includes SM Lanang Premier in Davao City, according to a company release published by Mindanao Times.

The Nissan Intelligent Mobility Tour 7.0 runs from November 6 to 8 at three venues: Bonifacio High Street in Taguig, SM Seaside City in Cebu and SM Lanang Premier in Davao. Nissan said visitors can test-drive both new models starting at 10 a.m., along with other models in its lineup.

The Primera name first appeared in 1990. It now returns as a fully electric executive sedan with a special launch price of ₱1,999,000. Nissan said the car uses a 58 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and has a driving range of up to 500 kilometres. The company also said it can charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 19 minutes on a compatible DC fast charger. The launch package includes a portable charger, a home wall charger and a three-year subscription to the MyNISSAN Connect app.

The Navara Pro pairs a 1.5-litre engine with an electric motor and has four-wheel drive. The Automobile Association of the Philippines tested it locally and certified a combined range of up to 1,150 kilometres on a full tank and a fully charged battery, Nissan said. The pickup is rated to tow 3,500 kg and to wade through water up to 700 mm deep. It also has a vehicle-to-load panel that can power external devices.

Nissan lists the Navara Pro's special launch prices at ₱2,648,000 for the LE variant and ₱2,448,000 for the VL variant. The company says buyers get a ₱50,000 discount and a package that includes a home wall charger and the three-year app subscription.

"Electrification is creating new opportunities for the automotive industry," said Nissan Philippines President Yoshinori Kanazawa.

Why it matters for Davao

Davao motorists can see and test-drive both models at SM Lanang Premier during the November 6 to 8 tour without travelling to Manila or Cebu.
