LANY cancels Davao City concert, citing safety and production concerns

American pop duo LANY has called off its Davao City concert, removing the city from the Philippine leg of its ongoing "Soft" world tour, according to Philstar.

Concert promoter Live Nation Philippines confirmed that the show planned for the Crocodile Park Concert Grounds was cancelled "due to safety concerns and production issues," Philstar reported. The promoter did not give further details on the nature of those concerns in the report.

Live Nation Philippines advised Davao ticketholders to check their email for details on the cancellation. Those affected may use their ticket credit for the first of LANY's two concerts at the Philippine Arena. Fans who prefer their money back can request a refund through an SM Tickets portal or by emailing the ticketer with the subject line "Refund Request: LANY: Soft World tour in Davao." They will then be sent instructions for processing the refund.

The band, made up of Paul Klein and Jake Goss, will still perform at the Seaside Arena in Cebu on November 6, followed by back-to-back nights at the Philippine Arena. The second Philippine Arena show, on November 8, is already sold out, according to the report. LANY returns to the Cebu venue on November 12 before wrapping up the tour in Australia.

The tour marks LANY's sixth visit to the Philippines. The duo last came to the country in 2024, performing in Cebu and at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan. The band is known for songs including "ILYSB," "Super Far," "Thru These Tears," "Mean It," "Malibu Nights" and "13."
