The Davao Region has had landslides and flooding caused by rain, resulting in a total of 17 recorded deaths.

The low-pressure area's (LPA) trough and the northeast monsoon's (Amihan) surge, which affected Eastern Mindanao, were what caused the incidents.

Ten casualties were reported as of February 4, 2024 in Davao de Oro, five in Kapalong, Davao del Norte, and two in Caraga, Davao Oriental.

Two people drowned in Pantukan, four people were buried alive in Maragusan, and three people were buried alive in New Bataan, Davao de Oro. One person was confirmed dead in Maco as a result of floods.

Following a protracted search and rescue effort on February 5, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) of Davao del Norte and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) of Kapalong reported the recovery of the fifth casualty.

On January 30, 2024, two fatalities were recorded by the Caraga Local Government Unit (LGU-Caraga) due to a landslide disaster.

Approximately 60,000 families have been housed in evacuation centers, out of the approximately 500,000 impacted families in the region as per the most recent information.

Localized thunderstorms and the Northeast Monsoon are predicted to continue in Mindanao during the weekend, per the Department of Science and Technology's Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (DOST-Pagasa) daily weather report.
