Sa atong indigenous people (IP), grounded atong movement so they were made to understand na i-incorporate to (We met with the Nigerian choreographer because we know the African way of dancing is different. For our IPa, their movement is more grounded so we made sure they will incorporate that),” Quibete said during an interview with Davao City Disaster Radio.

For their Indak-Indak performance, the groups can either execute a modification or a genuine presentation.

“They can do an authentic presentation patterned on any of the 11 tribes, tapos i-endorse siya sa (then we will endorse it to the) deputy mayor. Pero karon (But now) if I’m not mistaken, halos tanan sa atong contingents (most of the contingents), they are doing adaptation or interpretation of a particular fable to folklore, so freestyle ilang creativity,” he said.
