Davao del Sur has 851 new cases, followed by Davao del Norte (205), Davao City (128), Davao Oriental (92), and Davao Occidental (10). The remaining new cases have yet to be verified.
As of October 8, 50.9 percent of the region's ICU beds were in use, which equates to 85 beds out of the 167 available, while 408 beds out of 936 non-ICU beds were in use, representing 43.6 percent utilization.
As of October 8, 75 people had been admitted to severe and critical care, accounting for 13.79 percent of the total 544 Covid-19 admissions.
However, the region has yet to reach the target vaccination coverage of 3,796,830. As of October 5, the region had 87.3 percent coverage, or 3,313,113 primary doses of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine administered.
All of the provinces in the region have already vaccinated more than half of their target population; however, booster vaccinations are still required.
