Depending on the color of the box in the upper left corner of the map, CTTMO will implement one of three traffic color schemes: Light Blue. This scheme will go into effect at 9 p.m. Red traffic scheme will be applied when traffic volume where the project is being implemented is experiencing heavy traffic or rerouting scheme will be implemented. Yellow traffic scheme will be implemented in the morning.
Drivers are urged to consider alternate routes. The potential scheme's implementation date has not been specified by CTTMO. The excavation work in the area is planned for this month, according to Fermin Edillon, head of the DLPC Reputation Enhancement Department, in a recent interview. As part of the installation of the underground cabling project along the avenue stretch, DLPC began demarcating primary lines in May of this year.
Although it was planned for the real construction along the aforementioned street to begin by mid-June, this plan was not carried out.

The UDS project complies with City Ordinance 0152-17, Series of 2017 of the City Government of Davao, which states in Section 5 that all electric utility companies and public telecommunication carriers providing services to the city, including but not limited to those who are building, maintaining, and installing aerial wires and cables, shall bury all such wires and cables.
Meanwhile, Edillon pleaded for patience from the general public as the project seeks to rid itself of the tangled mess of cables and wires.
"Hangyo namo sa community nga gamayng pagsabot lang. (We would like to ask for the community’s understanding.) It may cause some traffic sa publiko, but in the end, makahatag siya og impact sa atong ekonomiya (this would have a positive impact to the economy.)," he said.
In August 2021, DLPC finished installing underground cabling along CM Recto Street from corner San Pedro Street to corner Ramon Magsaysay Avenue. The first underground cable installation project in the city, encircling Davao City Hall and Sangguniang Panlungsod, was completed in 2016.
The entire San Pedro stretch project is also being worked on by DLPC.
