DCPO Director Col. Kirby John Kraft reported that since March 20, 2020, the DCPO, the lead enforcement agency in the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), police recorded a total of 340. Of the number, 247 are violators of the curfew hour; 40 for liquor ban; and, 60 for violation of the physical distancing and mass gathering.
Of the total 340 apprehensions, 267 have been filed in court, he said.
“The Davao City Police Office would really appreciate reports from citizens about violators of the implementation of the ECQ. Let us cooperate and help each other in this time of crisis,” said Kraft.
Recall that curfew hour, liquor ban and mass gathering are prohibited since March 15 when Davao City was placed under different quarantine levels to slow down the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19).
Following reports of continued violations of the ECQ, Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte urged Dabawenyos to report violators to the Covid-19 Operations Center and other law enforcement agencies.
“They can report violators of ECQ to the Covid-19 operations center and to our law enforcement agencies,” Mayor Sara said in an interview over Davao City Disaster Radio on Wednesday, citing reports on holding of birthday parties and drinking sessions.
The Covid-19 Operations Center hotline is open 24/7. People can report violators by calling 09175086548 and 09190711111 or by sending a text to 09063674671 and 09393405675 and e-mail covidtf@davaocity.gov.ph.
DCPO can also be reached through its Isumbong Mo kay CD Hotline at 09258233276.
As of April 8, Davao City has recorded 67 Covid-19 positive cases with 13 deaths and 28 recoveries. CIO
