"I just want to highlight that Samal (Igacos) is a very potential area if you talk about Davao del Norte in terms of real estate business opportunities," said Joan Magtibay, external vice-president of Creba, on May 10 during the AFP-PNP press conference.
Magtibay said the potential can be seen in the island with its high-end resort-type properties and vacant lots which can be very enticing to foreigners and locals nearby.
Meanwhile, Mart Francis Escano, Creba Davao del Norte - Davao De Oro chapter president, said the investments for resorts had increased in Igacos.
“In terms of resorts, there have been recently mga mabenta na [in demand] resorts, [we observed that] the prices are high as compared to before, so we can really see the increase in terms of market value ng resorts,” Escano said.
Creba also identified Panabo and Tagum cities as potential markets for housing opportunities.
The organization aims to help people to achieve affordable housing with various forms of financing. They are also focusing on giving affordable funds for economic housing, affordable homes, equitable allocation of lands, and efficient housing regulations.
“Our role and our vision in our national government with regards to housing... is we will become the bridge between the government’s advocacy [of affordable housing],” Escano said. ICE
The organization’s DavNor/Davao De Oro chapter is a new chapter of Creba, which was inaugurated last April this year.
