“Tungod kay suspended atong drop box (Since we have suspended the drop boxes), wala gyu’y walk-in dapat (we will not accept any walk-ins). Kay tanang expected nga moadto ugma, mao ni sila ang nakadawat sa text message, sila tong moagi sa assessment (We will only accommodate those applicants who have received a text message from us for their assessment tomorrow),” Michelle Franca, Information Officer of DSWD-Davao, said during the Davao City Disaster Radio on September 2, 2022.

On August 31, 2022, DSWD announced the suspension of the submission of applications region-wide after receiving 150,000 applications.

“Kailangan sa nato ma-cater tong applications nga naa sa atoang mga kamot karun (We will cater these applications that we have on hand). Basin dili maapas sa among workforce ba, basin madaot tong mga papela [documents] to, nag-effort pud to sila, labaw nga nag-effort kay nauna tog submit (We worry that our workforce will not be able to handle it and to avoid tampering of the documents, it will be a waste if it will happen because those applicants have made an effort),” Franca said, adding that they will soon announce another schedule for the submission of application.

Earlier, the DSWD stated that only 25,000 applicants in the area are anticipated to receive financial aid; the recipients will be determined based on who applied first.

In a text message exchange with SunStar Davao on September 2, 2022, Goc-ong stated, "[It will be] first come, first served po [ang makadawat]."

As of September 2, the DSWD reported that since the program's launch, 14,000 students in the area have already received about P35 million in cash aid.
