Attorney Gay Enumerables, Comelec-Davao's associate regional director, stated during Monday's Kapehan sa Dabaw at SM City Davao.

"The official continuation of voter registration begins today. September 30, 2024, will be the last day, according to Enumerables.

Comelec's Register Anywhere Program (RAP), which debuted on Monday as well, was also referenced in Enumerables.

RAP serves as a one-stop center for registering voters. No longer will registrants be restricted to their neighborhood Comelec office. Voters can register to vote under RAP at specific locations around the nation, regardless of where they currently reside.

"The Register Anywhere Program (RAP) is a Comelec initiative. "May mga RAP register sites in all of the Philippines' capital towns and highly urbanized cities," Enumerables stated.

According to enumerables, RAP is accessible in the following three areas of Davao City: Malita in Davao Occidental, Mati City in Davao Oriental, Digos City in Davao del Sur, and Tagum City in Davao del Norte.

RAP sites will handle a variety of voter registration needs, including new registration - first-time voters can now register easily; transfer of registration - moving to a new location; overseas to local transfer; correction of entries - correcting any errors in your voter information; change of status - updating your details if you've married or changed your name; and reactivation - if your registration has been deactivated, you can reactivate it at a RAP site.

"If you are from Davao City and wish to move your registration to another location, you do not need to travel to that specific location. You only need to visit our office in Davao metropolis because it is a highly urbanized metropolis, thus you can apply for registration anywhere in the districts. "If you want to transfer your registration records to Manila, you can do so because you are from Davao City," she explained.

RAP also seeks to remove impediments and make it simpler for Filipinos to exercise their right to vote in the 2025 midterm elections.

"For new registrants, if you want to register somewhere in Baguio, pero andito ka sa Davao ngayon you can just visit our office in Davao City and then you can apply for registration kung saan mo gusto magpa-register," Enumerables went on to say.

Enumerables also announced that Comelec has designated February 12 as Comelec National Voter Day.
