The Committee on Justice and Human Rights, chaired by Senator Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III, will hold an ocular inspection and public hearing on Friday in Davao City to address the ongoing Philippine National Police (PNP) operation at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound in Buhangin, Davao City.

Senators Raffy Tulfo, Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go, Joseph Victor Ejercito, Mark Villar, Nancy Binay, Loren Legarda, Imee Marcos, Robin Padilla, Grace Poe, Cynthia Villar, and Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa are expected to participate in the ocular inspection and public hearing, according to an online notice.

"I called Sen. (Ronald) Dela Rosa about it because I felt that if the Senate conducts an investigation, we will be able to gain access to the tunneling activities, which I believe cannot be legalized by simply possessing a warrant of arrest," said KOJC legal counsel lawyer Israelito Torreon in a press conference on Wednesday.

Torreon stated that after it was announced that the Senate will perform an ocular inspection at the KOJC compound, Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel allegedly sneaked stones, gravel, and bags of cement inside the KOJC cathedral early Wednesday morning.

Presumably, the building materials are intended to repair the purported diggings and damages caused by the tunneling activities.

The PNP, lead by Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III, are now in their 12th day inside the KOJC premises since the warrant of arrest was issued against KOJC founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and four co-accused.

KOJC claimed that the police were digging and erecting a tunnel in the Jose Maria College (JMC) basement. Photos and videos from the excavation were also uploaded online. Despite the circulating videos and images, Torre adamantly disputed the allegations.
