Supervising Statistical Specialist Ma is representing PSA-Davao's Regional Director, Randolph Anthony B. Gales. Leah Magracia underscored PSA's dedication to its primary goals, which include "an inclusive identification system for equitable development and improving the quality of life for all."
Furthermore, PhilPost has sent 3 million physical national IDs, according to Magracia.
PSA-Davao began registering Filipino children ages 1-4 on February 13, 2024. "25,286 children in this age group have been registered across the Davao Region," Magracia stated.
To increase accessibility, mobile registration devices have been deployed in remote and underserved locations.
Regarding delays, Officer-in-Charge Baby Jean P. Alid of the Civil Registration and Administrative Support Division stated that PSA is collaborating with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) for ID printing and PhilPost for delivery to improve efficiency.
"Magkakaiba po tayo ng timeline (We have different timelines)," Alid explained, emphasizing that each Filipino's data is meticulously processed to eliminate duplicates in the PhilSys registry.
