Every year in Davao City, Philippines, the Kadayawan Festival is held. The word "dayaw," from the Dabawenyo language, which means good, valuable, superior, or lovely, is used in the friendly greeting "Madayaw," which gives rise to the name of the celebration. This celebration of life expresses thanks for the riches of nature, cultural diversity, a bountiful harvest, and the serenity of life. Every third week in August, it happens.

Immerse yourself in the rhythmic celebration that is Hudyaka 2023.
Indak-Indak
Each Kadayawan, we unite in rhythm and music! Take part in Mindanao’s most eagerly awaited street dance showdown! Known as the most significant competition in Mindanao, Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan invites dancers to take the streets by storm. The term ‘Indak’ translates to ‘dance,’ and ‘Kadalanan’ signifies ‘streets,’ thereby capturing the essence of this vibrant street dance competition. It’s a call to dancers from all corners of the region, extending as far as the provinces of Cotabato to Surigao. The contest is split into two segments: the open category and the Davao-based category.
