UNTIL JUNE 30, 2022, NO RT-PCR RESULT FOR DAVAO CITY-BOUND TRAVELERS

This is "An Order Extending Until June 30, 2022, The Removing of the Reverse Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) Result For Requirement For Travelers Entering Davao City Via Land, Sea, and Air," which was signed by the mayor on January 13, 2022.

The extension starts on January 16 to June 30, 2022, since the EO 66 Series of 2021, otherwise known as “An Order Providing For The Removal of the Reverse Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) Result For Requirement For Travelers Entering Davao City Via Land, Sea, And Air,” which she issued on November 15, 2021, was effective until January 15, 2022, only.

Mayor Duterte, in her EO 2, said: “There is a need to continue implementing existing protocols for travelers entering Davao City by land, sea, or air travel both domestic and international, following the active vaccination rollout within the city.”

As of January 15, 2022, Davao City has inoculated a total of 1,268,468 first anti-COVID-19 jabs or 97.58 percent of the target 1,299,894 target population protection while the second doses are currently at 92.9 percent.

At least 121,050 have also received boosters.

Thus, all Davao City-bound travelers by land and all arriving domestic travelers by sea and air shall no longer be required to present their 24-72 hours negative RT-PCR test results.

No travel document is required for entering the city, except for security checks that the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel may be requiring for anti-crime, anti-illegal drugs, and anti-terrorism operations.

However, all arriving international flight passengers, including international passengers arriving through connecting domestic flights must comply with the requirements and guidelines provided by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID).

Mayor Duterte also signed the EO No. 1 series of 2022, which extends the modified liquor ban and the lifting of the curfew within Davao City until June 30, 2022.
