DCLIC announced on its Facebook page on July 13, 2022, that visitors will be required to obtain a Library Card for P30 for a regular ID card or P100 for a PVC (polyvinyl chloride) type of ID. The IDs will be valid for one year.
Those with a regular ID will be able to conduct research inside the library, but will only be able to use the books, not the computers. Visitors with PVC IDs, on the other hand, will be granted one hour of internet access and will be permitted to borrow books and take them outside the library.
The library will open at 7:00 a.m. on weekdays. to 7:00 p.m. only. However, DCLIC intends to conduct a survey to determine whether or not libraries in the city should be open 24/7.
Arnel Enoc, Overall Head, Mobile Library City Library & Information Center (CLIC), previously stated that clients should also download the Davao Safe QR application because it will be required to enter the building. Once inside, they will be directed to process their ID and complete a form.
The four-story DCLIC structure will include children's and adults' reading areas, an amphitheater, an information technology center, and conference rooms. CLIC will also have a coffee shop on the first floor and an open-air organic garden on the second.
