“We are continuously monitoring the situation and as of today wala pa tayong threat na natatanggap on terrorism or election related violence, as well as the Davao City Police Office. In fact, patuloy natin minu-monitor ito kung ano ang development nang sa ganon ay makapagprepare kami ng mga reactions or deployment ng additional forces kung kinakailangan,” TF Davao Commander Colonel Darren Comia told media.

TF Davao, according to Comia, is anticipating everything, particularly in terms of security, in order to avoid being caught off guard. He stated that TF Davao is undergoing training, brainstorming, and conception in order to better equip its people.
“What if, what if. Yun lang parati naming sinasagot such that makapag ready kami. We need to be prepared with all the eventualities and all the threats, huwag naman sana, ayaw natin kaya patuloy nating minu-monitor and as of today, wala and we are prepared,” he said.
Meanwhile, Retired Police Lt. Colonel Angel Sumagaysay, chief of the Davao City Public Safety and Security Command Center (PSSCC), stated the city's security posture should be maintained even if there is no threat to the safety of all Dabawenyos.
“Kahit na wala tayong threat, yung security posture natin i-sustain natin and walang pahinga ang TF Davao and DCPO, from time to time meron mga short courses and trainings and magagamit natin ito. Hopefully, hindi siya magagamit but at least with direction ang bawat unit,” he said.
