The grand winners of this year's Indak-Indak sa Kadayawan will be the Sindac Anib Performing Ensemble and the Bernardo D. Carpio National High School Performing Ensemble on August 20, 2022.
In the open category of the Indak-Indak, the Sindac Anib from Bislig City, Surigao del Sur successfully defended their 2019 championship title, while Bernardo D. Carpio won in the Davao City school-based category.
Both teams stated that their preparations for this year's Indak-Indak were difficult due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and that the face mask protocol for the contingents was an additional challenge.
"Yes, the pandemic was a challenge because during practice," we said. "Dancing with the mask is not easy," said Sindac Anib movement director Marc Hingco.
Bernardo D. Carpio NHS dance master Daniel Sumalinog Jr. also stated that the limited face-to-face (F2F) classes made it difficult to gather students who can dance for the Indak-Indak.
