In order to ensure security and safety along the route, according to Sumagaysay, PSSO works in conjunction with the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO), Task Force Davao, and other civil security organizations.
One of these is to prevent drivers from taking selfies while driving, something Sumagaysay claimed to routinely witness.
“May mga advisory na yata na ginapagawas ang atong mga CTTMO nga pag miagi na diha, no stopping dapat, dili ka dapat magnaog dira mag-selfie (There are advisories that our CTTMO has released that when passing by, there should be no stopping, and you should not take selfies there),” Sumagaysay said.
“Intended jud na siya para magkaroon ta og freeflowing na dagan sa atong mga sakyanan (The road is intended to have a free-flowing movement of vehicles),” he added.
Additionally, Sumagaysay voiced worry about the potential for vandalism against the white paint that had been sprayed to the bridge and cautioned the public from taking part in such actions because the coastal route "reflects the image of Davao City."
Additionally, he gave the populace the advice to refrain from damaging public works of art like the seaside road, on which the government has invested money and which benefits the entire city.
The officer added that theft can occur on public roads, highlighting the fact that it still happens even when electricity is present.
In addition, Sumagaysay suggested that parents keep kids away from the seaside road, particularly if they are playing with toys or games.
As long as they stay on the sidewalk, bike lanes, and in the open park, he added, anyone can jog around the clock anywhere in the Bago Aplaya region. However, no pets are allowed to stroll along the road.
We must maintain the place because it is used by the general population, Sumagaysay remarked, "Tanan ta moamping ana kay atoa man na."
The Davao City Government established and is currently strictly enforcing the rules or regulations of the Davao City Coastal Bypass Road Segment A, which was formally opened on Saturday, July 1.
