Former city mayor and president Rodrigo Duterte has declared his candidacy for mayor of Davao City once more.

Nine out of 10 residents of Davao City expressed a desire for former President and Mayor Rodrigo Duterte to return to public service, as per a survey conducted by the University of Mindanao Institute of Popular Opinion (IPO).

Senator Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go commended former President Rodrigo Duterte on being this year's lone recipient of the Datu Bago Award, highlighting the previous president's substantial contribution on public service, particularly Mindanao's growth.
