Organized by Mindanao Trade Expo Foundation Inc. (MTEFI), the bazaar is aimed at assisting MSMEs to showcase its products and services during the Christmas season.
Organizers have targetted some P8 to P10 million in sales.
“Last year we were able to generate almost P8 million in sales, this year we intend to match that if not increased,” Marian C. Mahinay, MTEFI executive director, said in a phone interview with Sun.Star Davao.
Now on its 4th year, the bazaar offers Christmas giveaways including handcrafted and exportable products from various key industry sectors ranging from arts and crafts, home décor and housewares, gifts and premium items, furniture, fashion, beauty and wellness, fresh and processed food good for holiday season at a very affordable prices.
Mahinay said that majority of the bazaar’s exhibitors also participated last August's MTE.
Some of the recurring bazaar exhibitors are Yvette's Bag of Davao Region, Nino Basilio Bags, Agusan del Norte Producers, among others.
Meanwhile, MTEFI recorded some P23 million in revenues during the weeklong MTE 2015.
MTE, the marketing arm of MSMEs has also been a vehicle for continued development through organizing series of capability enhancement workshops and hands-on trainings which is aimed at encouraging the participating exhibitors to further improve their products.
MTE 2015 is staged with support from the Department of Trade and Industry, local government unit of Davao City, Philippine Exporters Confederation Inc. and Abreeza Ayala Mall.
